Clean air Colorado – Taking down fracking and restoring clean air to Colorado

COLORADO FOR CLEAN AIR

Colorado’s Front Range was once famous for its towering peaks, breathtaking vistas, and pure, clean air. These days, however, a breath of that air is more likely to give you an asthma attack.

Largely fueled by increased fracking, a toxic “Brown Cloud” now suffocates the Front Range. Oil and gas companies pollute and profit, leaving citizens to choke on the toxic smog left behind. As Coloradans who live and work on the Front Range, just like you, we refuse to let this go unchallenged! Colorado for Clean Air aims to take down the industry that is lining its pockets at the expense of our environment and our health.

It’s Really, Really Bad

46th out of 50 for urban air quality

U.S. News & World Report ranked Colorado 46th out of 50 states in its 2019 Best States rankings for urban air quality. Urban air quality was measured by the average number of days in 2018 in which the air quality index was above the EPA’s “healthy” threshold for particulate matter, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, and ozone.

We Know What’s Causing It

And how to stop it

front range oil gas fracking development wildearth guardians Local oil and gas development is the primary reason for Colorado’s disgusting air. By confronting federal fracking approvals, forcing EPA sanctions, holding oil and gas companies accountable to the Clean Air Act, and confronting illegal air pollution permits, we can take down fracking and restore clean air to Colorado.

Take a look at our plan to confront the issue.
